Teacher DevelopmentWhen we are out of college or a training program, we can fall behind easily. Do we really need a training program to improve our knowledge and skills? My answer would be 'NO'. As long as we have a positive attitude towards learning and adopting new skills, improving ourselves personally or professionally is only a matter of time and expertise.
Maybe the right question to ask is "How does self-initiated & self-paced learning work? And how willing are we catch up with the needs of the new generation who are born to a culture of digital world with i-pads/tablets, smart phones and habits of reaching everything at fingertips. The good news is that many websites or blogs are making it possible to keep up with changes in education without having to go back to school. We can easily develop ourselves by reading the latest research, participating in live chats, and taking online workshops.
